Hygiene and safety

We know that travelling is part of our well-being.
As part of our commitment to our guests, staff and suppliers, we’d like to share some of the measures we have adopted to ensure your safety and peace of mind, while offering the greatest possible flexibility.

We are in continuous contact with government agencies, health departments and the tourist sector as a whole to keep our procedures and protocols up to date at all times.
As we know, the situation can change from one day to the next: we will provide you with regular updates on all the measures being adopted to enable you to bae your travel decisions on the latest information.

We have carefully reviewed all our cleaning processes, increasing the frequency and enhancing our sanitation and disinfection to the maximum. All the cleaning products used on all contact surfaces in communal areas and guest rooms, comply in full with government health and hygiene standards.
Towels, sheets and pillowcases are washed at 80ºC for at least 20 minutes and ironed at temperatures up to 160ºC.

As an extra safety measure, we have dispensed with decorative elements and printed forms. The front desk is fitted with a protective-glass screen and a thermographic camera, and there are hydroalcoholic gel dispensers throughout the communal areas. Your room key has been disinfected before you receive it.
All our staff have been trained in prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and we have stepped up the provision of personal protective equipment.

Social distancing requires stricter limits on occupation of communal areas; while we have redesigned our layout, all our facilities remain open with continuous sanitation protocols in force.
We have rope barriers and floor markings to ensure proper distancing and there are maximum capacity signs throughout the hotel. Breakfast will be à la carte or an assisted buffet.

We have introduced new measures to keep contact – and waiting – to a minimum:
   • Online pre-check-in.
   • Mobile payment service.
   • Electronic billing.
   • Interactive city maps and guides.
   • Virtual guide with all the information about the hotel in digital form.

Our website allows you to cancel refundable bookings up until 6pm on the day of your arrival, or rebook a non-refundable reservation.

We must all comply with and respect special rules on the shared use of facilities to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Specifically, guests are required to:

• Practice basic hygiene to protect against COVID-19:
   ◦ Frequent hand washing / disinfection, particularly before entering shared areas (elevators, hall, cafeteria, restaurant, etc.).
   ◦ Cover your mouth or nose with the inside of the elbow when coughing or sneezing, or use disposable tissues and wash your hands afterwards.
   ◦ Avoid touching your mouth, nose or eyes in public spaces.

• Respect social distancing with anyone outside your family or immediate household.
   ◦ Avoid physical contact when greeting others (hugging, kissing, etc.).
   ◦ Respect the capacity restrictions and safe distances and layout in communal areas.
   ◦ Comply with any time limitations the hotel may set to prevent crowding.

• At the first signs of symptoms compatible with COVID-19 (fever, cough, or respiratory distress):
   ◦ Self-isolate: person(s) affected and fellow traveller(s).
   ◦ Telephone Reception to inform of the situation.

You must follow these new practices and guidelines to help protect yourself and others, including fellow travellers and hotel staff. We all have to behave responsibly.
